Hi, everyone. Topic of this video is consonant sounds in Russian language. 

Majority of russian consonants are approximatery same with english one's, but there are some “hard” sounds.

Easy sounds:

Кк

Гг

Фф

Вв

Зз

Сс

Жж

Мм

Нн

Лл

All this sound can be hard and soft – before sounds Ёё, Ее, Юю, Ии and Яя these sounds are soft. Examples: лед, мясо, белый

This is Щщ и Шш sounds. Engish sound ʃ is middle between this phonems. Щщ is softer, and Шш is harder. Also, Шш is always hard sound, and Щщ is always soft one. Examples: шутить, шум, щель, считать

This is Хх sound. It likes English /h/, but more energy: хотеть, хамить, выход

This is Pp sound. One is rounded /r/-ррррр. Examples: раб, краб, страна

Чч sound. Affricate. Always soft. Examples: чай, час, учеба

Цц sound. Affricate. Always hard. Examples: цена, царь, овцы

Also there is important consonant rule in Russian. If end of word is voice consonant, this sound transformates to voiceless sound: дождь, рог, луг
